Calderdale Baby Café has been cited as an example of best practice in the following Department of Health document.

"Tackling Health Inequalities in Infant and Maternal Health Outcomes: report of the Infant Mortality National Support Team (Department of Health 16 December 2010)" (P40 - reference to Baby Café as an intervention) highlights how increased breastfeeding and duration contributes significantly to reducing health inequalities. It also explains the importance of effective referrals and inter-agency working.
