A Baby Café is a place where breastfeeding is considered the normal way to feed and care for a baby. Mums can expect to receive up-to-date information about breastfeeding, including professional help from staff knowledgeable and skilled in helping women breastfeed, and enjoy a relaxed, informal, safe, child-friendly, non-medical environment.
Baby Cafés are for women at any stage in their breastfeeding journey form the early days to when you decide to come to the end of your feeding. Baby cafés aren't just a place for women who have problems but are for anyone breastfeeding as little or as much as they want to, to come along and be part of a friendly supportive group.
All our Baby Café licenced breastfeeding drop-in centres are expected to be run to the same high standards and our mothers' charter has been developed to help make clear to mums what they can expect from a Baby Café centre.
