Baby Café Conference 2004
‘If we could talk to the animals!’
Guest speakers Mike Woolridge and Gillian Weaver joined us for the first Baby
Café conference on Wednesday September 29th 2004.
Using a multi-sensory approach we explored what the animal kingdom can teach
us about breastfeeding support, in the stunning location of Woburn Safari Park.
The day included:
Social structures that support breastfeeding
Breastfeeding support when mothers cannot hold their babies
The Baby Café Initiative, where are we, where are we going?
How do other mammals wean from the breast?
