The Baby Cafe

MONDAY 9TH MAY WAS PARTY DAY at Haywards Heath as we marked five years of The Baby Café. Mums who had attended over the past five years were invited along with the Mayor who performed the ceremonies. It was also an opportunity to highlight the important role of volunteers in the running on the Baby Café.

Young Mums trained as Peer Supporters

YOUNG MUMS in Haywards Heath are leading the way in an initiative to encourage more women to breastfeed their babies. The mums, all under the age of 23, have volunteered as breastfeeding peer supporters to other women who have babies at a young age. Their services are being harnessed in an initiative by Catherine Pardoe and Julie Williams, founders of Haywards Heath's innovative Baby Café. Read more
